About John Creahan
John is a member of the professional advisor committees for both Fred Hutch and the Seattle Foundation and served as president of the Washington Planned Giving Council.
John is a frequent presenter on topics involving estate planning and charitable giving.
Charities often invite John to speak to donors and volunteers about estate planning and charitable giving. These charities have included Fred Hutch, Museum of Flight, PAWS, KCTS-9, the Seattle Opera, Swedish Medical Center Foundation, Save the Children, Kadlec Medical Center Foundation, and the Center for Wooden Boats. He has also been a featured presenter at the Washington Planned Giving Council’s Planned Giving Day, the Spokane Estate Planning Council’s annual conference, and at multiple King County Bar Association lunches.
Before founding Cairn Law, John was an estate and business planning attorney with Davis Wright Tremaine and other local firms. Long-time Seattle residents, John and his wife are actively engaged with a number of local charities.
John graduated from the University of Washington School of Law with honors and Brown University.
